From October 4th to 7th, the VI International Congress, "Energy saving and energy efficiency-dynamics for development," was held in St Petersburg under the specialized exhibitions, "Energy savings and energy efficiency - Innovative technologies and equipment," "ROS-GAS-EXPO," "Boilers and burners."
On October 5, 2016, a round table was held within a Congress organized by St. Petersburg Center for energy efficiency: "Energy savings in the budgetary sphere and HCS - Key challenges and solutions," where the issues were discussed for energy savings implementation and energy efficiency measures in budgetary institutions and HCS, with the use of energy service contracts, as well as the experience of the regions on the implementation of such contracts.
The event was attended by executives and specialists of the Center for energy savings, representatives of the state budgetary institutions of St. Petersburg, the Analytical center under the Government of the Russian Federation, SCI "Energy," ANO "Center for energy saving Yugra," and also such associations as HOA, HCS, and management companies.
The roundtable participants noted poor knowledge among managers and specialists of public institutions, management companies, and HOA procedures for the preparation and implementation of energy service contracts, as well as gaps in the sphere of awareness among the regional populations.
Moskalyov A., Chief Technical Advisor on implementation of the educational component of the UNDP-GEF Project "Building energy efficiency in the North-West of Russia," delivered a report entitled "Staffing support of the energy saving in budgetary sphere and housing and communal services." In his speech, he presented the main results of the Project for the continuous system of education in the field of energy savings. He also shared plans for the organization of training on behalf of the Interregional Center for Energy Efficiency (ICEE) for managers, professionals, institutions, organizations, and population in the field of energy efficiency, including through the implementation of energy service contracts.
