|A new profession - energy manager|
A diploma delivery ceremony was held in St. Petersburg to the first masters in the direction "Energy management". The first class of students wishing to receive a master's degree in innovative programs developed with the support of experts of the UNDP-GEF Project "Building energy efficiency in the North-West of Russia" began their study in 2015.
For two years of studying full-time students of the Higher School of Energy and Technology of the Saint Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design have learned the basics of energy saving in industrial enterprises and in the housing sector, got the skills of preparing of business plans and feasibility studies for projects in the field of energy efficiency, as well as learned the basics of energy audit and preparation of energy passports of buildings.
"We have not completed yet the training of students of the first course for energy managers as business representatives came to us requesting to prepare for them such specialists," - the Director of the Institute of innovative management technologies Tatyana Tereshkina said. "This only confirms the relevance of this profession in today's professional community."
Methodological materials developed under the Project were used In the learning process. In the near future manuals would be updated and reissued for subsequent use by future students-energy managers, which will start their study in the new academic year.
