There is a good reason for choice of the location, the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design is a branch of the Interregional Centre for professional training and retraining for energy efficiency, created with the support of the Project.In addition to that, since 2013, professors of the University have been involved in development, testing and implementation of training materials for the training of students of institutions of secondary professional and higher education on energy savings and energy efficiency issues. On top of all that, in 2017, the University will host the first graduation class of energy managers, trained within the program developed with the Project's support.
The seminar was broadcasted throughout Russia via Internet on the website of the Project and the branch of the Interregional Centre for professional training and retraining for energy efficiency, that allowed teachers from St. Petersburg, the pilot regions of the Project and the teachers of educational institutions of Petrozavodsk, Moscow, Vladivostok and Khanty-Mansiysk, Kazan and other Russian cities to attend it.
The Head of the Higher school of Technology and Energy engineering, P. Lukanin delivered a welcoming speech and noted the positive experience of cooperation of the University with the Project and the contribution of the University's teachers in the creation of a system of continuous training in the field of energy efficiency on the steps of training and retraining for industry and utilities' fields.
Teachers who participated in the development and testing of teaching materials for students of institutions of secondary professional and higher education with extensive teaching experience in these programs spoke at the event.
Director of Institute for Innovative Management Technologies, High School of Economic of the Saint-Petersburg State University of Industrial Technology and Design, T. Tereshkina spoke about experience in the development of the program "Fundamentals of energy saving and energy efficiency" for secondary vocational and higher education, and the curricula and Master's programs in the direction "Management".
All teaching staff that presented at the training event thanked the leadership of the UNDP-GEF Project "Building energy efficiency in the North-West of Russia" for the relevant and well-organized seminar. |
