|The Project will support the national Russian festival #Togetherisbrighter in the biggest cities of North-West
The national Russian festival of energy conservation, #Togetherisbrighter, will be held from September 2nd to 11th, 2016, with the support of the Ministry of Energy, Rosmolodezh, Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, State Corporation "Housing and public utilities reformation support Fund," winners of the award "Global energy," and other youth and public organizations.
The festival will be held in the regional centers and major cities of the country to promote a culture of environmental friendliness among the population and demonstrate advanced energy efficient technologies used in various sectors of the Russian economy.
The leadership of the largest cities in the North-West region, Arkhangelsk and Pskov, as well as the Government of St. Petersburg, requested assistance in the organization and execution of the festival. The leadership of the UNDP-GEF Project "Building energy efficiency in the North-West of Russia" decided to actively participate and assist in holding the festival in the North-West regions of Russia.
On September 2, the Holiday of energy savings for primary school students in Arkhangelsk and mini-sports competitions for kids and their parents will be held on the site of Isakogorsk youth center. A separate section was provided at the Festival area in St Petersburg at Lenexpo for the UNDP-GEF Project "Building energy efficiency in the North-West of Russia," where on September 4, quizzes on energy conservation for adults and children with prizes and souvenirs will be held. The main characters are our old friends Energoberegeniya and Energosha. On all the grounds supported by owners of the festival, cartoons on energy savings for children will be shown, as ordered by the Project. The next will be city of Pskov on September, 5 which will host an eco-action "Energy of life", and energy-efficient lighting will be discussed at the Pskov State University on September, 6 at the conference "Urbanism of light and energy efficient cities. Prospects, problems, possibilities".
