The experience of Russian-Croatian cooperation on the establishment of an energy management information system was presented in a forum in Bulgaria Print

The 2016 will be an important year in the field of energy saving for Europe and countries of the Balkan region.  At the moment active work is being performed on the revision of the European Directive of EPBD in the field of building energy efficiency, national roadmaps in the field of energy efficiency since 2017 are being updated. Implementation of existing programs to achieve the targets by 2020 (energy savings, development of import substitution, reduction of CO2 emissions) needs to be accelerated.

The First International Forum C4E, which was hold in Balchik (Bulgaria) from 22th to 24th of June, discussed these relevant issues. The event was attended by over 200 representatives of the business community, public organizations and representatives of government, who are interested in energy efficiency.

During the round table on issues of capital repairs, Manager of the UNDP-GEF Project "Building energy efficiency in the North-West of Russia" Vitaly Bekker spoke about a joint Russian-Croatian experience of building a municipal energy management system with the EMIS establishment (Energy management information system) in the Pskov region. The report aroused a great interest among the audience, especially since the EMIS system became widely known a few years ago in a similar Project of the UNDP Croatia and its distribution to other countries is very relevant now.
